Grand Give benefits Amberwing

Maurices, a clothing store which began in Duluth in 1931 and is now a national retailer with over 930 stores across the country, continues to make positive contributions to the city they still claim as “home”. On September 22, over 35 area organizations and causes benefitted from financial gifts or service work as part of maurices’ Grand Give.

Amberwing was blessed to receive art supplies, toys, games and outdoor clothing to enhance the care given and provide greater opportunities for participants to enjoy using the skills they have learned. What a treat to watch as bag after bag of gifts were unloaded from a coach bus filled with wonderful maurices employees who distributed these gifts and enjoyed a tour of the facility as well.

According to maurices’ president, George Goldfarb, “Giving back is so important to our associates and customers and we fundamentally believe in bettering our communities.” Each associate was proudly wearing a T-shirt with the company values, which match many of the skills taught at Amberwing.

Thanks to all who participated in the Grand Give and who support maurices, making these events possible!
